RC Repair and Maintenance
Please notify us a day in advance that you are coming to make sure the class is a go. If there are not enough pre-registrations it may be cancelled. Also let us know if you are interested in cars, drones, planes – we rotate subject matter based on who is enrolled.
In this hour long class for beginners, we will be going over aspects of radio-controlled (RC) maintenance and repair for rc cars, planes, and quadcopters. This will include the basics of battery care, troubleshooting tips, and answering questions. They type of vehicles covered will be based on request from participants present or planned in advance (see in store notifications). Although not required, participants may bring in their own vehicles and if there is time and depending on needs of all students, they can get guidance on how to repair and maintain them (note that parts will only be available for brands that Hood River Hobbies carries and we will not be able to repair vehicles purchased elsewhere if they need proprietary parts or plugs.) This is intended for children or adults, but children under 10 will need adult supervision.
Total per student fee is $5/class payable at the start of each drop in class at Hood River Hobbies. If parent and child(ren) attend together, the family rate is $7 per class. If you would like to register for multiple classes at once to ensure this class is a go and to help us plan topics of interest to registered students, that is possible, just let us know.
Parent registration required at Hood River Hobbies at the start of class or in advance through Hood River Community Education. Hood River Hobbies LLC is not responsible for unattended children before or after the class.
Hood River Hobbies, LLC is not responsible for broken parts, vehicles, or improper repair performed by students during or outside of class, although the goal of the class is to teach people how to properly repair vehicles, or guide them to resources that will help them.
